Colorado Wedding Photographer – Crooked Willow Farms – Lauren + Mary Beth

Mary Beth and Lauren have a love for one another that could be taken straight out of a fairy tale. They are genuine, honest and loving toward each other and those that surround them. As soon as I met with them, I knew their wedding was going to be special. They are the first legal same sex marriage that I have photographed. They trusted in me to capture their wedding celebration and for that I am grateful. I believe in equality and I believe in love, especially a love like theirs.

When I entered their bridal suites there was a low-key vibe floating about the rooms. When it was time for the first look, they both excitedly anticipated the others reaction. They sauntered toward each other with matching cowboy boots and coordinating dresses. They were beautiful and living in the moment.

Ann Marlin, with Cloud 9, did a remarkable job planning the wedding. From the decor, to the cigar bar, late night snacks and custom cocktails there wasn’t a detail that was left undone. The entire wedding was a celebration, rounded out by a packed the dance floor all night. They even made Ann and I join the group for a dance! For anyone that knows me, my inner dancing queen loved it, although I don’t typically dance while I am working. 😉
